GOD ( ONE ) > US ( PLURALITY ) = TRINITY

“The reality of the Holy Trinity is a mystery. We simply cannot comprehend the total reality of God. (The Holy Trinity is a Great Mystery)

So, WHY should we bother with a mystery that appears to be a dead-end?

GOD IS LOVE! (1 John 4:8)  The source of creation is the love that defines the Trinity. “At the center of all reality, at the heart of the universe, there exists an eternal, divine community of perfect love. The nature of that love is expansive. Love flows outward, it grows. Therefore, the creation of the universe is an overflow of love from that divine community as it expands in love and delight to include beloved creatures.” (The Holy Trinity: The Community of Love at the Heart of Reality) “If it is asked, why the world has been created, no other reason can be adduced, except for the gratuitous love of God.” (John Calvin – Commentary on 1 John)

God formed Man (humankind) out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. (Genesis 2:7) You are our Father. We are the clay and You are our potter. We all are the work of Your hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

Of this David testified. You shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation (I am)! You know me inside and out. You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. (Psalm 139:13-16)

Apparently, David was acquainted with science. “A fertilized egg is about the size of a pinhead. Yet, it contains information equivalent to about six billion DNA ‘chemical letters.’ This is enough information to fill 1000 books, 500 pages thick with print so small you would need a microscope to read it!.” (The Origin of the Universe)

WHY should we bother with a mystery that appears to be a dead-end?
